Universal has officially announced Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, a new haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in 2026. Created in collaboration with the Osbourne family, the experience will celebrate 45 years of Ozzy's solo career through his music, distinctive imagery and some of the larger-than-life personas that helped make him one of heavy metal's most recognisable figures.
The Prince of Darkness comes to Halloween Horror Nights
The newly announced haunted house will take guests through a nightmarish celebration of Ozzy Osbourne's solo career, combining memorable music with theatrical environments inspired by the worlds he created across more than four decades.
Albums including Blizzard of Ozz, No More Tears and Scream are among those confirmed to influence the experience. Guests can expect to encounter different versions of the Prince of Darkness, including characters and imagery drawn from Ozzy's ever-changing stage personas and album artwork.
Universal describes the attraction as a less traditional tribute to the musician, using the darker and more fantastical elements of his career to create an experience suited to Halloween Horror Nights.

The haunted house has been developed in collaboration with members of the Osbourne family, including Sharon and Jack Osbourne. The family said Ozzy was always interested in finding new ways for fans to experience his music and the elaborate worlds surrounding it.
Rather than presenting a conventional retrospective, Prince of Darkness will transform moments from Ozzy's life and solo career into a full-scale Halloween Horror Nights experience filled with music, creatures and dramatic environments.
The project arrives one year after Ozzy's death in July 2025 and follows his emotional final performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham earlier that month. The house will therefore serve as both a celebration of his career and an unusual memorial created specifically for his fans.
Different experiences in Orlando and Hollywood
Although Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness will appear at both Universal destinations, the Orlando and Hollywood versions are expected to offer different interpretations of the musician's legacy.
The Universal Studios Hollywood house will place greater emphasis on Ozzy's journey, beginning with his childhood in Birmingham before exploring the characters, controversies and theatrical moments that shaped his career.
Universal Orlando's version is expected to lean more heavily into the music and darker visual worlds of his solo albums. Reported scenes include ancient ruins, monstrous figures and a nightmarish journey aboard the Crazy Train.
A fitting addition to Halloween Horror Nights
Ozzy's theatrical image and association with horror make him a natural fit for Halloween Horror Nights. Across his career, the Birmingham-born musician combined heavy metal with gothic imagery, outrageous performances and a distinctive sense of dark humour.
This also won't be the first time his music has influenced an attraction at the event. Universal Studios Hollywood previously presented Black Sabbath: 13 3D during Halloween Horror Nights in 2013, creating a maze inspired by the band's music and imagery.
The new attraction will instead focus specifically on Ozzy's solo career, allowing Universal to explore albums, characters and memorable moments from his work outside Black Sabbath.
Halloween Horror Nights 2026 dates
Halloween Horror Nights begins at Universal Orlando Resort on select nights from 28 August until 1 November 2026. This year's Orlando event will feature ten haunted houses alongside scare zones, live entertainment, themed food and selected attractions operating throughout the evening.
Universal Studios Hollywood's event begins on 3 September 2026 and also runs through 1 November. Halloween Horror Nights is separately ticketed at both destinations, with individual tickets and selected event packages already available.

It should also resonate strongly with British fans. The experience may be appearing thousands of miles away in Florida and California, but Ozzy's story begins in Birmingham, giving the announcement a particularly meaningful connection for Universal's UK audience.
With the Osbourne family involved and separate interpretations planned for Orlando and Hollywood, Prince of Darkness already looks set to become one of the most talked-about haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
