Disneyland Paris Reveals New Pathé Cinema Experience for Disney Village

Disneyland Paris has unveiled the next major step in the transformation of Disney Village, revealing plans to completely modernise its cinema into a brand-new Pathé entertainment destination.

The project, which is due to begin before the end of summer 2026 and complete in 2027, forms part of the resort's wider investment programme that continues to reshape Disney Village into a more vibrant destination for guests beyond the theme parks.

A fresh look for Disney Village

The current cinema will be transformed into a modern Pathé venue, featuring a completely redesigned exterior inspired by contemporary architecture while remaining sympathetic to the evolving look of Disney Village.

Inside, guests can expect fully refurbished auditoriums equipped with premium reclining seats, creating a more comfortable cinema experience whether visiting after a day in the parks or during a longer stay at the resort.

The redevelopment will also introduce a new Pathé Café, a Häagen-Dazs counter and a dedicated Pathé Games area, giving visitors additional places to relax before or after a film.

Importantly, Disneyland Paris has confirmed the cinema will remain open throughout the refurbishment, with construction taking place in carefully planned phases to minimise disruption.

Part of a much bigger transformation

The cinema project is the latest milestone in the ongoing redevelopment of Disney Village, one of the largest transformation projects currently taking place across Disneyland Paris.

Over the past two years, the entertainment district has welcomed refurbished shopping experiences including Disney Style, Disney Glamour, Deco by Disney and the redesigned LEGO Store, while new restaurants and refreshed public spaces continue to open as work progresses.

Rather than simply acting as the route between the Disney Parks and the hotels, Disney Village is gradually becoming a destination in its own right, offering guests more places to shop, dine and relax throughout their stay.

The addition of a modern cinema experience further strengthens that vision, creating another reason for visitors to spend an evening outside the parks.

What it means for guests

Although the redevelopment won't add a new attraction in the traditional sense, it represents another significant investment in the overall Disneyland Paris resort experience.

For guests planning a visit over the next year, the phased approach means the cinema will continue operating while work takes place, avoiding the need for a lengthy closure.
