A brand new chapter has officially begun for UK theme parks - and this time, it is all about families.

Chessington World of Adventures has now opened World of PAW Patrol, bringing the hit children’s series to life in a fully themed land designed around younger guests, family rides and immersive character moments.

The new area is described by Chessington as the UK’s first and only PAW Patrol-themed land, with four themed rides, play areas and pup meet and greets now available for families visiting the resort.

Set inside Adventure Bay, the colourful coastal world from the show, World of PAW Patrol has been designed to feel like guests are stepping into an episode. Bright set pieces, recognisable locations and character-led experiences all work together to create a land aimed squarely at younger theme park fans.

At the heart of the area are four new rides, each themed around a member of the PAW Patrol team. Chase’s Mountain Mission is a family junior coaster, giving younger riders an accessible first taste of roller coaster excitement. Skye’s Helicopter Heroes takes guests into the sky for a gentle aerial ride, while Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue brings a rocking rescue mission to Adventure Bay.

The fourth ride, Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure, is being billed by Chessington as the UK’s first “Drifter” ride, adding a spinning and swirling water-themed adventure to the line-up.

What makes the land stand out is not just the rides themselves, but how everything connects together. World of PAW Patrol includes immersive meet and greets where guests can meet characters including Chase, Skye, Rubble and Marshall, alongside hands-on play areas such as Rubble and Rocky’s Playzone.

Chessington has also extended the experience beyond the park gates with brand new PAW Patrol-themed bedrooms, giving families the chance to turn a visit into a full overnight stay. The rooms are designed for family staycations and sleep up to a family of five.

From a bigger picture perspective, this launch fits into a growing trend across UK attractions. Parks are investing heavily in recognisable brands and immersive themed lands, especially for families with younger children. With projects such as Universal’s proposed UK resort in Bedford continuing to build momentum, the pressure to deliver standout experiences is only increasing.

For ThrillSense readers, this might not be the next big thrill coaster or record breaker - but it does not need to be. This is about creating the next generation of theme park fans. The kind of experience that becomes a child’s first coaster, their first character meet, and maybe even the reason they fall in love with parks in the first place.

With World of PAW Patrol now open, the question is no longer whether it will be popular. It is how quickly it becomes one of Chessington’s most in-demand family attractions.
